Malcolm Smith, aka D.J. Prince, isn’t your typical D.J. who is spinning for likes or views on social media. He’s set out to make a difference in the D.J. community by incorporating his Jamaican background into his works. Smith started his career as a D.J alongside his twin brother D.J Live in 2006. In 2011, he landed an internship at DC’s #1 hit music station Hot 99.5 and his career has been on a rise ever since. Inspired by Jamaican values and culture, he strives to give his audience a show they’ve never experienced. His mixes are based on telling a story and giving the listener something to remember. Spinning isn’t D.J. Prince’s only talent, he an entrepreneur who builds D.J. booths and offer photo booth rentals to his clients. Malcolm has set himself apart from the cliché D.J. status quo and is now the Official DJ for the University of Maryland Football Association. D.J. Prince has worked with some of the best in the business like NeNe Leakes , which exudes his level of greatness. His passion for his craft shines through him and there is no denying that D.J. Prince will take over the DJ scene globally. Malcolm is always on the move for business but if you would like to catch up with him, he will be the keynote speaker at Raro Lae’s Envision Workshop on January 5, 2019 in Silver Spring, Maryland.
