Multi-Talented NY Singer Young Day Sets Out To Dominate “Making A Difference” In The Music Industry

The difference between me and a lot of people is that GOD gave me a gift and I decided to use all of it

NY native Dayshawn (Young Day) Bacchus has been singing his whole life. It wasn’t until three years ago he decided to take his craft seriously and peruse a career in music. Young Day is a self-taught pianist who doesn’t read or notate music, yet create such soul-touching music, like the great icons Jimmi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Bacchus strives to spread positivity with his music.  

Nosey Nay : Your IG is so authentic, like I can tell you’re genuinely being yourself. How did all of this begin? 

Young Day : I started playing the piano in the subway. I was down, in a situation where I had to go in the subway everyday to make money . It was actually a blessing . I met a lot of people, a lot of unfortunate people, I was able to touch with my music. Seeing them dance and smile; even go out their way to say hello inspired me to go hard and grind harder. 

N. N. : So what’s your daily routine like now? 

 Y.D. : Right now, work and creating new sounds and new music. I’m about to drop some new music as well. So I’m just in the mist of work and music, networking, grinding, I’m all over. I’m like a fly, I’m here, there, everywhere. 

Young Day’s latest single “Nobody Cares” captured the attention of many after he went viral on WSHH with over 1 million views. Launching his campaign #nobodycaresawareness to shed light on the homeless epidemic in NY shortly after, Bacchus has been able to show the world the true meaning of helping other. Young Day is using his social media presence to share laughter and love.

Nosey Nay: Young Day, you’re always on the run, all over the city. Where are some places we can catch you hanging out? 

Young Day: I go to this spot called Bar None in the city on Friday nights, but I’ll switch it and hit up the spot next door VNYL . Honestly, I go out to places where people know me or I hit up new spots - and if I like it - make it a new home. I’m really out everywhere. If I’m invited out, I’m there. You know me, I’m pulling up. Turn up, dance, have a good time. Oh yeah I’m a pretty good dancer too. 

N.N. : Dancer? Hold on like what kind of dancing? Like bust a move, Chris Brown Dancing? 

Y.D. : Haha, it’s hard to compare yourself to Chris Brown. He’s a legend. But I’ll say I turn up. I’ll be on the dance floor all night , not realizing I was the dancing the whole time until the club closes. At the end of the night, I get so many people telling me how much fun they had because I danced the whole night. Or someone older will tell me they feel young again after turnin’ up. I’m just one of those guys you can’t help but turn up with and enjoy yourself.
