Nafisah took interest in becoming a celebrity hairstylist early on in her career while working in her cousin’s shop. From the moment she obtained her Cosmetology license, she knew what direction in the field she wanted to take. The North Carolina native made an executive decision and moved to The Big Apple to pursue her dreams. She landed a job at the prestigious Rita Hazan Salon in New York City and this is where she gained her experience and distinguished clientele. Rita Hazan Salon is best known for styling high profile clients like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and the iconic Mariah Carey.
Ms.Carter fits the part with her high-class style and sophisticated look. She is the living embodiment of vitality. Her enthusiasm and southern-girl accent will light up a room. Nafisah is practically a veteran hairstylist, she’s been taming tresses for over 15 years. She specializes in natural hair care, extensions, and coloring. She’s worked on huge productions for BET like Black Girl Rocks and BET Experience Award Show. Ms. Carter is a very busy bee, recently she’s traveled to United Arab Emirates and Australia to share her knowledge with fellow stylist on trends and healthy hair. Nafisah’s goal is to continue to excel internationally and become a superior hair mogul in the industry.
